This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

What I wish I could do more every day

What do you wish you could do more every day?

How I Want to Do More Research for My  Daily Writing

Writing every day has become a core part of my routine, but I’ve realized that I want to push myself further—not just in consistency, but in depth. Lately, I’ve been thinking about how much more powerful my writing could be if I invested more time into research.

Why Research Matters

I’ve always valued writing as a form of expression, but I want my words to carry more weight. Whether I’m telling a personal story, exploring a new idea, or just reflecting on the world, research can add layers of insight. It can help me back up my thoughts with facts, provide richer details, and even challenge my assumptions.

My Plan to Research More Effectively

1. Setting Aside Time for Research
Right now, I write first thing in the morning because it helps me start my day with clarity. But I rarely dedicate time specifically to research. I’d like to change that by setting aside more time each day ,at least  2 hours time block a day to look deeper into my topics before or after writing.

2. Keeping a Research Journal
I already have a strong writing habit, so why not extend that discipline to research? A research journal could be a place to jot down interesting facts, save links, and record insights that might inspire future writing.

3. Exploring Different Sources
I want to move beyond just Googling quick facts. I’d like to dive into books, articles, documentaries, and even conversations with people who have firsthand experience in what I’m writing about.

4. Fact-Checking My Own Work
Writing daily means I sometimes rely on what I already know, but I don’t want to take that for granted. I want to challenge myself to verify things, even if they seem obvious. This small habit could elevate my work significantly.

5. Following My Curiosity
Sometimes, the best research happens when I let my curiosity lead. Instead of feeling like research is a chore, I want to embrace it as an extension of my writing—something that makes the process more exciting rather than something separate from it.

The Impact I Hope to See

By committing to more research, I believe my writing will become sharper, more informed, and more engaging. I’ll be able to write with more confidence, knowing I’ve put in the effort to back up my thoughts. And most importantly, I think research will make me an even better writer

Until next time…
