Who was your most influential teacher? Why?
The Teacher Who Sparked My Love for Science: Mr. Osei

Looking back on my journey as a scientist, one person stands out as the catalyst for my passion—Mr. Osei, my science teacher. His classroom was more than just a place for lessons; it was a laboratory of curiosity, where experiments came to life and theories leaped from textbooks into reality.
Mr. Osei had a way of making science feel less like a subject and more like a grand adventure. He didn’t just teach formulas and concepts—he demonstrated them with experiments that left us in awe. I still remember the first time he made a simple chemical reaction feel like magic, turning our skepticism into excitement. It was in his class that I first saw the beauty of scientific inquiry, the thrill of asking “what if?” and actually testing it.
Beyond the experiments, it was his passion that inspired me the most. He spoke about science as if it were the most important language in the world. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it made me believe that I could be part of that world too. So much so that when I learned he had attended a particular college, I made it my goal to follow in his footsteps. And I did.
Attending the same college as Mr. Osei felt like a tribute to the teacher who set me on this path. It was there that I deepened my love for science, building on the foundation he had given me. Even now, whenever I conduct an experiment or solve a complex problem, I think back to those early lessons in his classroom.
Great teachers don’t just teach—they ignite something within us. Mr. Osei did that for me. He transformed my curiosity into purpose, and for that, I will always be grateful.
Until next time…
