A take at a time and you remind me of grace something I barely think of .I will be there…

This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

Oldest thing I am wearing today.

What’s the oldest things you’re wearing today?

The Oldest Thing I’m Wearing Today — My Trusty Black Multi-Pocketed Pants

Sometimes, the longest relationships in life are with the clothes that quietly show up day after day. Today, as I sit and reflect on what I’m wearing, one piece stands out—not for its flashiness or trendiness, but for its loyalty: my black multi-pocketed pants

.

I’ve had these pants for just over four months now. That may not sound like much in the grand scheme of wardrobe timelines, but when you wear something as often as I do these pants, time stretches out differently. They’ve become part of my routine, part of my walk, part of my posture.

What makes them special? It’s the pockets—plural, and plenty. Each one seems to have a purpose: phone in the right thigh, keys in the left, and that odd, almost-secret pocket that ends up holding random memories like receipts,  or even little notes to myself.

They’ve seen more than a few seasons already: cool nights, warm afternoons, and surprise rain drizzles. They’ve moved with me through writing sessions, neighborhood walks, late-night snack runs, and fair enough  laundry visits. And through it all, they’ve held their shape, their color almost, and their quiet utility.

The black has softened slightly, forming its own patina of wear that only makes it better, but I see the end of  it days are near. There’s a comfort in clothes that know your shape, that hold your rhythm. These pants aren’t just something I put on—they’re something that helps me be me,just because they are also my exact size.

So today, the “oldest thing I’m wearing” is not  something forgotten or neglected, but to a true staple. Four months and still going .Until when?I can only  guess but when the time comes I will know surely.Till then

Until next time.
