A take at a time and you remind me of grace something I barely think of .I will be there…

This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

Sacrifice I made in life

What sacrifices have you made in life?

The Space I Let Go

sacrifices come with grand change, financial strain and  tough conversations so  I had to be careful to ask myself ,if it was hard to let go of something you’ve held onto simply because it feels like yours and that is why it hurt to let go,sacrifice. Recently,  I closed my storage unit.

It might not sound like a big deal. A storage unit is just space, right? Just a place where old furniture, boxes of books, random cords, and forgotten memories collect dust. But for me, that  square was more than a rented room—it was an archive of my transitions. It held pieces of who I was when life was in flux.

Every time I opened the metal door, I saw a version of myself from another chapter.  The framed photo I thought I’d hang in my next home. The notebooks filled with ideas I haven’t looked at in years. The unit became a physical extension of “someday.”

But someday never came.

What did come was the realization that I was holding space for a life I was no longer living. The storage unit became less about storing and more about postponing. A comfort zone.

Closing it wasn’t just about saving money or decluttering—it was about releasing the past. It was about trusting that I don’t need to physically hold onto things to remember what they meant. It was about making space in my life—real, emotional, breathable space—for new things to grow.

It was  heavy at first, but I felt lighter. I sacrificed the illusion of “just in case” and embraced the reality of “right now.” It was a  door to close, but it unlocked space for more.

  1. Not many I’m afraid to admit. I’m person with a lifeline vision. If I run into something/or/somebody that gets in the way, I work with them. Compromise, include them or delay my plan, but do not sacrifice my direction.
