This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

How I desire to retire !

How do you want to retire?

Why I’m Retiring in My Late 30s with Just Two Baskets — and 100% of My Eggs in Them

in 2025 and  beyond , 80% of employees will  retire living on 40% of their Current income

Most people talk about retirement like it’s a far-off, final chapter — a complete stop to work life that only happens in your 60s if you’re lucky. I don’t buy into that version. For me, retirement is not an end but a shift — a chance to keep doing what I love, but with freedom, intention, and zero tolerance for distractions that don’t serve my purpose.

That’s why I’ve made a deliberate plan: retire early, in my late 30s, by consciously building, caring for, and owning two assets only. Not three, not ten — just two baskets, each worthy of 100% of my focus, energy, and life experience.

why Only Two?

I believe the magic is in the number two.

It’s just enough to diversify my energy, yet simple enough to master from experiences.

I don’t want my time scattered chasing a dozen ventures. I want to stack all my lessons, passions, and grit into these two baskets — then guard them like my life depends on it. Because in many ways, it does.

These two assets are carefully chosen to match:

my passions

my ability to stay deeply involved in the core parts I love

my long-term vision for freedom and contribution

What “RetirementMeans to Me

When I say “retire,” I don’t mean sitting idle. If you love your work, I believe you will never stop. My version of early retirement means:

Working only on the essential parts of my two assets — no busy work, no bureaucracy.

Traveling when I want, visiting old friends and making new ones.

Having a functional, comfortable living space — not a mansion, just a place that works for the life I love.

Keeping certain traditions alive and nurturing a family around me.

Staying physically active — you’ll probably still find me shooting hoops, just to keep the mind sharp and the body honest.

Guarding the Baskets

I know life is unpredictable, but focus beats uncertainty, so with two assets, I’m choosing depth and sacrificing my own distractions. I’m betting that the more I pour myself into these baskets now — with the time and energy of my 30s —  they’ll provide the freedom I want for the  future me.

I’m not looking for a traditional  Plan. I’m looking for a life where I can stay present in the work that matters, stay close to people I care about, and stay healthy enough to enjoy it all.

Two baskets. One life. That’s my plan — and I’m sticking to it.

Until next time
