a Pause on Romance

my Definition of Romantic

Romance, to me, is  beyond flowers and candlelight. It’s not a special day. It’s not even something you can plan well.

It’s intimacy. The kind that happens in quiet moments between men and women.Me and the few women I’ve been close with. It’s how we sat with each other when there were no words, how we noticed the small things.

A Step Back: The Beauty of Experience

Stepping back, I don’t see romance as a reward or a goal. I see it as a shared experience—something we’re lucky to have known, even briefly.

Whether it lasted or ended , men can experience women, and women can experience men, in ways that teach, shift, and shape us. And that experience itself is valuable. It’s something to be grateful for, even if it’s not perfect.

Is Romance  always about falling in love ?
or
does romance teach me—not just about love?

If this  lingers in you, you might even enjoy my book I Want To But I Don’t Feel Like It. It’s not about romance,  its just on a few things that hold us from moving on—and how we move anyway.

so Until next time,

thanks for reading.
