My Favorite Form of Physical Exercise: Walking or Playing Basketball
When it comes to staying active, my favorite forms of exercise are simple—walking and playing basketball. Both give me a sense of freedom and focus that no gym machine can match.
Walking is my reset button. Whether it’s an early morning stroll or an evening walk after a long day, I find peace in the rhythm of my steps. It’s a moment to breathe, reflect, and let my thoughts flow naturally. Walking keeps me grounded—it’s exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise.

Then there’s basketball, my all-time favorite sport. It’s where movement meets passion. Every dribble, pass, and shot connects my mind and body in perfect sync. The game challenges me physically and mentally, but it also brings joy and a sense of flow I can’t find anywhere else. Plus, it’s a great way to stay social while still getting in a serious workout.
What I love about both is how natural they feel. Walking gives me calm. Basketball gives me energy. Together, they balance my days—one for reflection, one for release.
If you’re looking for a way to stay active that doesn’t feel forced, start with a walk or pick up a basketball. You might find, like I did, that they are the best workouts.
Until next time.
