This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

why Biology

What was your favorite subject in school?

Why Biology Was My Favorite Subject in School

Back in school, there was always that one subject that seemed to breathe life into the classroom. For me, that subject was biology. It wasn’t just about memorizing parts of a cell or labeling diagrams—it was about discovering how life itself worked. Every lesson felt like a key unlocking a deeper understanding of the world around me.

I remember the excitement of peering into a microscope for the first time, realizing that even the tiniest drop of water was alive with motion. That sense of wonder—knowing that we’re surrounded by life forms too small for the naked eye—never left me. Biology had a way of turning curiosity into connection.

What made biology so special wasn’t only the science—it was the story of life. From the way our bodies heal after an injury to how plants quietly turn sunlight into energy, every chapter revealed a rhythm of nature that was both complex and beautifully simple. It taught me patience, observation, and how every living thing has a purpose, even the smallest insect we might overlook.

But the true spark came from my teacher, Mr. Osei. His experiments made learning feel alive, and his passion made biology more than a subject—it became an experience. He didn’t just teach us facts; he taught us how to see. And that inspiration stayed with me long after the bell rang.

Looking back, I think what drew me to biology was how it mirrors life itself—ever evolving, interconnected, and full of discovery. It shaped the way I think, observe, and even create today. Whether it’s through writing, reflection, or simply stepping outside and noticing the patterns in nature, that early love for biology still fuels my curiosity.

If I could share one takeaway, it would be this: the world around us is a living textbook. Every tree, every cell, every heartbeat is part waiting to be explored. And for me, biology was the first chapter in learning how to see it all.

Until next time.
