If I Need a Break
When I need a break, I don’t always think of it as stopping everything. Sometimes a break is very small and very present. In the moment, I take a pause to relax. I sit still, breathe, or take a short walk. A few minutes outside, feeling the ground under my feet, is often enough to reset my mind.

These short breaks help me return without resistance. They don’t interrupt my rhythm; they protect it. A walk around the block, a stretch, or quiet time reminds me that rest does not have to be dramatic to be effective.
But there are other times when a short pause is not enough. For the next long moment, I think of travel. Not to escape, but to change scenery. A new place rearranges my thoughts without effort. Different streets, air, and views create space in my thinking that routine cannot.
Both types of breaks matter. One keeps me balanced in the now. The other prepares me for what comes next. Knowing which break I need is part of listening to myself.
Sometimes all I need is a few steps outside. Other times, I need a new horizon.
Till next time.
