This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

The three things

What are three objects you couldn’t live without?

The Three Things I Can’t Go Without: My Phone, My Wallet, and My Lighter

There are a few things in life I can improvise, but when it comes to stepping out the door, I need three essentials: my phone, my wallet, and my lighter. They’re more than just objects; they’re part of my daily rhythm, each serving a purpose that makes my life flow a little smoother.

My Phone: My Connection to the World

My phone isn’t just a gadget—it’s my link to everything and everyone. It keeps me in touch with the people who matter, helps me navigate places I’ve never been, and stores my thoughts when I need to jot something down quickly. Whether I’m checking on a game score, playing some music, or handling business, my phone is always working in the background, keeping me plugged in.

My Wallet: My Ticket to Freedom

My wallet holds the keys to movement—literally. Without it, I’m stuck. ID, cash, cards—it’s all there, making sure I can get where I need to go and handle whatever comes up. I’ve learned that even in a world going digital, having a little cash on hand is always a smart move. My wallet isn’t just about money; it’s about being prepared.

My Lighter: The Unexpected Essential

A lighter might seem like the odd one out, but for me, it’s just as necessary. Whether I need it for a quick light, to lend a hand to someone else, or even for the occasional moment of calm, having a lighter on me feels right. There’s something about the flick of a flame that brings a sense of control, even in the smallest ways.

Why These Three?

Together, these three items cover my basics: communication, access, and reliability. They’re my version of a survival kit. Whenever I do the mental pocket check before I leave the house—phone, wallet, lighter—I know I’m set.

Do you have your own must-haves? What are the three things you can’t leave home without?

Until next time…
