This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

An ideal week

Describe your ideal week.

How I Look at My Week

My week has a way that keeps me steady. Most days, I write—it’s the one thing that grounds me no matter what. Along the way, I do a little tidying each day, just enough to keep things clear.

Once a week, I make sure to run an errand, and at least twice a week I cook—it feels like a reset, not just for my body but for my mind. I also make space for walking and reading, because moving and learning balance me out.

Somewhere in there, I slip in time to play a game, usually as a break to laugh, unwind, and reset my energy. And of course, I carve out time to rest—without it, none of the other things feel as smooth.

One thing I will start doing to make the week more fun (but still productive) is keeping a “surprise slot.” Just one block of time where I don’t plan anything in advance. When it comes around, I decide on the spot what feels right—maybe trying a new recipe, exploring a new path on my walk, calling someone I haven’t spoken to in a while, or experimenting with a new writing idea. That little pocket of spontaneity keeps the week fresh without breaking the way.

That’s how I look at my week: small, steady things I do  with room for joy, focus, pause—and just enough surprise to keep it interesting.

Until next time.
