What’s the best way to deal with negative thoughts?
How I Deal With Negative Thoughts
Negative thoughts can show up at any time. I have learned not to fight them immediately. Instead, I create a small pause.
When I notice a negative thought, I ask myself, “I wonder what my next thought will be?” That simple question interrupts the cycle. Instead of getting pulled deeper into negativity, I become curious about what comes next.
That brief moment of curiosity gives me enough space to do one more thing—I appreciate something small in the present. It could be the fresh air, the sound of birds, a warm cup of coffee, or simply the fact that I am alive and breathing.

I have found that negative thoughts lose some of their power when I stop feeding them and start paying attention to the present moment. Appreciating small things may not solve every problem, but it reminds me that even on difficult days, there is still something good to notice.
Sometimes, the smallest shift in attention can make the biggest difference.
Until next time.
