What’s a chapter of your life you’d title “The Hard Years” — and what got you through it?
The Hard Years
If I had to give one chapter of my life a name, I would call it “The Hard Years.” For me, that was roughly from 2019 to 2024.Right after I wrote my book
Looking back, I realize I was trying to do too much. I was chasing different goals, carrying too many responsibilities, and spreading my energy in too many directions. Slowly, things began to fall apart. I lost almost everything I had worked for.

There were days when it felt like I was starting over from nothing. It was frustrating, humbling, and at times difficult to see a way forward. But through all of it, one thing remained: my writing.
Writing became the one habit that stayed with me no matter what was happening around me. It gave me structure when life felt chaotic. It gave me hope when I needed something to hold on to. Every page reminded me that even if I had lost many things, I had not lost my ability to create.
Those hard years taught me that not everything we lose is meant to stay lost. Sometimes life strips away what is unnecessary so we can rediscover what truly matters. For me, that was writing.
I don’t look back on those years with bitterness anymore. I see them as a difficult chapter that shaped the person I am today. They reminded me that when everything else disappears, your purpose can still carry you forward.
Sometimes the hardest years become the foundation for your best ones.
Until next time .
