This is quiet courage — not loud wins, but grace that kept walking through grief. Your words remind us that…

The Day I Got Lost and Found a Change of Scenery

The other day, I found myself on a small adventure. What was supposed to be a quick look around for basketball courts in the area turned into something else entirely.

I walked about 1.5 miles—that’s roughly 2.4 kilometers—and at an easy pace, it stretched to close to 40 minutes of wandering. It wasn’t like I set off blindly; I had my map open, eyes set on what looked like a promising spot. On the screen, there was a large patch of green. That usually means open space, maybe a park, maybe even a hidden court.

But when I finally got there, the strangeness hit me. No one played there. Not a single bounce of a ball. It was just wide, empty, and still. A place that seemed alive on the map.

And yet, that’s when I realized: sometimes the real find isn’t the basketball court. It’s the change of scenery. Moving through new streets, seeing new corners of the neighborhood, and feeling that subtle shift in perspective that only comes when you go somewhere unfamiliar.

Getting “lost” wasn’t really being lost at all. It was a reminder that stepping outside your usual route can open you up to new energy—even if it’s just the quiet discovery of a space no one else claims.

If you’ve been walking the same path lately, maybe it’s time for your own change of scenery. You never know what kind of clarity—or story—you’ll find along the way.

Stay connected .

Until next time.
