If you had a time machine and could send just one message to your past self, what would it say?
I Am Proud of You—and You Now
If I had a time machine and could sit across from my past self, I don’t think I would give him a long speech about everything that was going to happen. I would simply say, “I am proud of you, and I am proud of you now.”

I would want my younger self to know that he did not have to have everything figured out. The uncertainty, mistakes, disappointments, and moments when life did not make sense were all part of becoming the person he was meant to be.
I would tell him to be patient with himself. Growth does not always announce itself. Sometimes you are changing without realizing it until one day you look back and recognize how far you have come.
Most importantly, I would tell him that the person he becomes does not have to be perfect to be worthy of pride. There will always be more to learn, more to experience, and more ways to grow.
So if I had one message for my past self, it would be simple: I am proud of you for making it this far, and I am proud of who you are becoming now. Keep going.
Until next time.
