Beautifully written . I let the uncertainty come and handled them as my way.

ending a book

If you could rewrite any book’s ending, which one would you choose?

Every Ending Has a Purpose

One question I always find difficult to answer is, “If you could change the ending of any book, which one would it be?” My answer is simple: I wouldn’t change any of them.

A book’s ending is what gives the entire story its identity. Whether it leaves us smiling, shocked, inspired, or even disappointed, it is the destination the author carefully chose. Every chapter builds toward that final moment, and changing the ending would create a completely different book.

As an author myself, this idea has become even more meaningful. Writing has taught me that endings deserve just as much thought as beginnings. I often think about how my own book, Push Past Pause, should end because I want readers to close the final page feeling exactly what I intended them to feel.

The ending is not just the last page. It is the lasting impression that stays with the reader long after the book is finished. That is why I respect the endings other authors create, even when they surprise me or are not what I expected.

Every ending has a purpose, and sometimes that purpose is what makes a story unforgettable.I think this perspective has made me appreciate books even more—not just for the journey, but for the courage it takes to decide how that journey ends.

Until next time.
